Surfline just posted a bunch of aerial shots of some spots in New England going off from the Hurricane Bill swell.
This one of Point Judith, Rhode Island is my favorite. Click the image for the larger version and you can see the surfers in the water and the spectators all along the point.

Finally some good footage of NY from this past weekend.

"In my eyes, Hurricane Bill definitely did not live up to the hype. But it was a very solid swell; out in Montauk, there were easily 10 to 15-foot faces, clean offshore winds, super warm water… about as good as New York gets in the summer. But it’s nothing I’m gonna remember 10 years from now. And the crowds were absolutely ridiculous — guys who’ve lived here for 30 years said they’ve never seen it like that, ever. Hundreds of guys in the water, hundreds of people on the beach… the forecasters really hyped this swell up when they shouldn’t have. Rockaway and NJ were both closed to surfing when they shouldn’t have been, either, because we get way bigger waves in the winter."
