The eight annual Smith Optics Garden State Grudge Match, New Jersey’s most exciting and prestigious event, just went down at Casino Pier following a brutal October nor’easter. Watch as Jersey’s baddest hitmen prepare for the event and throw down in the a barrel shoot out in Seaside Heights.

NY had some unexpected bombs coming through this Sunday. Surfed all day and got a few solid tubes. Awesome day!

There was some real crappy weather this past weekend in NY due to an early Nor’easter but it sure did bring the waves.

Mick Fanning has done it again. Yesterday he won the Quiksilver Pro France making it two contests in a row that he’s taken down 1st place. Mick is sitting 2nd in the world, only 150 points behind Joel Parkinson. With 3 contests left, the race for the world title is about to get really interesting.
Mick isn’t the only one still in it to be number one at the end of the year. Anyone in the top 10 has a chance. Keep an eye on Kelly Slater, with a 3rd place last contest and a 5th place at the Quiksilver Pro, he is now in the 5th spot and about 1200 points out of 1st place.
The next contest is the Billabong Pro in Mundaka, Spain which starts next week on October 5th.
