I'm John. That's me up there ↖️. I've been building stuff on the web, either on my own or with teams, for about 20 years.

These days I spend a lot of free time on home automation, 3D printing, and DIY projects around the house. Every so often I still ship a small app or site when something scratches an itch. This site is where I write about that stuff. It also gives me an excuse to play with new web tools, since I don't write as much product code at work as I used to.
